Auxiliary Workshop Smoke And Mirrors: The Auxiliary Workshop Smoke and Mirrors effect pedal is a subtle phaser and vibrato with fantastic sound coloration. Auxiliary Workshop went into the Smoke And Mirrors circuit design with one intention: they wanted a subtle phaser that could transport you to another place. A slightly bent reality with your feet still on the ground. They didn’t want that heavy tripped out phase effect that is the main feature of most phasers. They came out extrodinarily happy with the results. Hand built by Rob Murray-Lyon. Unlike many other boutique pedals, when we say hand built we actually mean it. The circuit board is cut and etched by hand. Over 100 holes are drilled by hand into the circuit board for the components. Over 40 components are soldered onto the circuit board by hand. The genuine Hammond case is then hand powder coated by a professional powder coater (including the inside of the case). The case is then sent to a professional screen printer who uses a silk screen to print each one by hand. The cases are then baked in an industry oven to set the screen print ink rock hard. The circuit boards are installed into the cases and hand wired to the additional components. Protective black epoxy is then applied to the circuit boards. At Auxiliary Workshop they don’t cut any corners. They designed this pedal with the highest quality components. The Smoke And Mirrors pedal is built with a true bypass 3PDT stompswitch, switchcraft 112B jacks, alpha pots and switches, a kobiconn dc power jack, and hi-brite leds in a genuine Hammond case wired together with military grade standard #24 stranded wire.
