Visual Sound V2 Route 808: The New Route 808 from Visual Sound. Check out the new V2 Series Route 808 pedal from Visual Sound. Everyone loves the overdrive channel in Visual Sound’s original Jekyll & Hyde and Route 66 pedals. Visual Sound’s new Route 808 pedal is designed to accurately reproduce the sound of the original TS-808 Tubescreamer, but with a bass boost switch and far more output volume than the original, along with Visual Sound’s proprietary tone sweetening ingredients. By popular demand, this distinctive overdrive is now available as a single pedal in the all-new V2 Series of pedals from Visual Sound. Features: Dimensions: 3" x 5 11/16" (78 x 144mm). Current Draw: 11-12mA. Easy battery access for quick and convenient replacement (can be powered by battery or optional 9vdc adapter). All the jacks, including the power adapter jack, are hand-wired, point-to-point, to the circuit board, so if you accidentally step on a plug it will keep working. Newly designed diecast aluminum housing has been streamlined reducing the footprint by nearly 20%. Even if you plug in a 9VAC power supply by mistake, it won't burn up your pedal as would happen with most other efffects. It won't work, but it won't do any damage. The pure tone buffer circuit is a unity-gain preamp buffer designed to make your guitar sound like its's plugged directly into the amp even if it's going through long cables and many other effects pedals: somthing true-bypass pedals could never give you. The new switching system in the V2 series is designed to last for ten million foot-stomps: that's basically forever!
