Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe:
You can't blame 'em. They're trying to break into a market that Fulltone owns. So when the new "booteek" company of the month says "uh, I make a more exact copy of the original ...SMACK! ...sorry Boy ...you can't get more accurate than EXACT.

The Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe comes in a beautiful vintage Cream color with maroon lettering, and is housed in a sturdy 16 gauge steel housing that measures ONLY 4" x 5.75".

Fulltone is the first to put out an exact copy of the legendary Vintage '60's Univibe on a large scale. It has that dripping Phase-Chorused tone that made Jimi's "Machine Gun" so epic!

Now it's tiny enough to fit on the most cluttered pedalboard, and because of the mini-DV's unique voltage doubling circuit you can use any standard 9 volt DC adapter (the Fulltone FPS-1 adapter is included) and inside the MDV the power is ramped up to the original Univibe's 18+ volts DC!

Features also include a mini-toggle switch to choose between Vintage/Modern settings allowing for warm original '60's Univibe grind (Vintage setting) and louder, with more output (Modern setting).

Key Features:
  • The Photocells: Fulltone is the only small company who can quite frankly afford to have the correct glass-covered hermetically-sealed photocells custom-made.
  • The Bulb: Getting the correct Voltage rating on this is no big deal, but does size really matter? Yes, but don't look at the size of the Glass, look at the size of the Filament (the wire inside the glass)! Fulltone got it right. And this is crucial to achieve the correct amount of brightness. It also has to flash consistently at all speeds. Fulltone's does.
  • The Shroud: No, not a religious garment, but the aluminum cover protecting the Photocells. Is the inside of your clone mirrored? Too bad, the original Univibe's was and so is the Fulltone, and that's the only way to get the proper light reflection inside the photo-array. It's all in the details.
Deja'Vibe devotees include Robin Trower, Peter Frampton, Eric Johnson, Steve Stevens, Joe Satriani, Ian Moore, and Keith Richards.

Robin Trower says of his Deja'Vibe, "Simply Brilliant. I use it all the time. It's the best of its kind!"

REVIEWS & USER COMMENTS:
HARMONY CENTRAL USER REVIEW 3/2/2009:
"I have always loved that Robin Trower "Bridge of Sighs" tone and this pedal nails it! As far as I know Trower is using this pedal in his rig."

HARMONY CENTRAL USER REVIEW 1/31/2008:
"This is what a great univibe clone should sound like. It pulsates very seductively and adds that certain otherwise elusive sound to your pallet. I am NOT a modulation user in the general sense. I have no chorus or flange pedals and the MXR Phase 90 I have rarely if ever got used. Only when I felt like tripping back to the 70s or playing some funk would I add it to my chain. That's because these pedals don't really satisfy me. But the Mini DV is so buttery and smoth and downright sexy that I use it way more than I thought I would. It does not surprise me that Robin Trower uses this effect on nearly all of his music because it is easy to fall in love with this effect. So if you are like me and crave the univibe sound, this is the pedal you want. Yes, they are rather pricey at $249 but you really do get what you pay for in life. Making music is important to me -- it defines who I am really even though I'm not a pro. So if it is important to you, you won't even think twice about spending the cash on this pedal."

HARMONY CENTRAL USER REVIEW 4/23/2007:
"First, let me say that I've been looking for a good vibe pedal for the last year or so and I've tried (and owned) several of them. I'll get right to the point....this is THE vibe pedal to own. Yes, it's a little pricey, but once you hear it, you'll have no regrets. I was looking for that particular vibe sound (ie: Trower, Gilmour, Hendrix, etc.) and this pedal is IT. Of course, in design, it IS the same pedal as the original. Mike Fuller and the folks at Fulltone have done a superb job recreating this pedal! It is extremely quiet and does NOT affect your original tone. The True Bypass is truly quiet and clean."
